The Meaning of the double names "Lækhia" and "Polen"

معنی زوج نامهای لهستان و پولن در اساطیر سکایی نقل شده توسط هرودوت مردم لهستان (پولن) با سمبل گاو آهن یاد شده اند. واژهٔ لهش (له) در سنسکریت اشاره به گاو آهن و ستون گاو آهن (پوله) دارد. پوله: گمان می‌رود که صورت موضوعی یک کلمهٔ خنثی کهن i-stem باشد، از طریق schwebeablaut از ریشه نیا-هندواروپایی *pleh₂- ("صاف، پهن") آمده است که می تواند به معنی پهنی خیش گاو آهن باشد.

In Scythian mythology as recounted by Herodotus, the people of Lækhia (*Polen*) are associated with the symbol of the plow. The word *Lahash* (or *Lah*) in Sanskrit refers to the plow and the plow's pole:
